The 2023 Liaoning English Test - By An Elementary Kid Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just took the big Liaoning English test and I wanted to tell you all about it. It was a really long test but I tried my best!

The test had four parts - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. We started with the listening part first. They played audio recordings and we had to answer multiple choice questions about what we heard. Some of the recordings were conversations between two people. Others were longer lectures or stories.

The listening part was kind of hard for me. The people were speaking pretty quickly and using lots of big vocabulary words I didn't know. I had to focus really hard to try to understand the main ideas. My English listening skills aren't perfect yet so I probably missed some of the questions. But I did my best! After the listening section, we moved on to the reading part of the test. This was maybe the hardest part for me. We had to read some really long and complicated passages about science, history, culture, and other topics. The passages used tons of difficult vocabulary and spoke about challenging concepts. The questions asked us to identify the main ideas, make inferences, understand the author's purpose and tone, and other things like that. Some of the passages were so dense and packed with information that it made my brain feel like it was going to explode! I had to read very slowly and carefully to try to comprehend everything.

When the reading part was finally over, we went to the next section which was writing. For this part, we had to write one shorter essay and one longer essay. The shorter one asked us to describe a person who inspired us. I wrote about my amazing science teacher Ms. Johnson who always makes learning fun. The longer essay prompt asked us to discuss the pros and cons of banning or limiting technology usage by young students in schools. I tried to make a strong argument in favor of allowing some technology because I think it can really help kids learn in an engaging way when used properly. But I also acknowledged some of the downsides like distraction and overuse.

Writing the essays was hard work! I had to brainstorm my ideas, organize them into a clear structure, use good examples and evidence to support my points, and try to write with proper grammar, vocabulary, and other conventions. By the time I finished, my hand was cramping up from all the writing. Phew! Last but not least was the speaking part of the test. We had to do tasks like describe an image, answer opinion questions, and have a short mock conversation with the examiner. I was pretty nervous during this part! Speaking out loud in English feels way harder to me than listening, reading or writing.

Sometimes my mind goes blank and I can't find the right words to say.

For the image description, I had to look at a busy scene showing people shopping at an outdoor market. I tried to describe all the little details I could see like the colorful fruit stands, people carrying bags, delicious smells wafting through the air, and so on. It was tough to get all my words out under the time pressure.

The conversation task was probably the hardest speaking part for me. The examiner asked me questions about my hobbies and interests. I love sports so I told her all about my favorite activities like soccer, swimming, and gymnastics. She asked me follow-up questions though and sometimes I struggled to fully explain my thoughts in a clear way using proper English.

By the end of the four hour test, I was absolutely exhausted! My brain felt like mush from having to work so hard on all those English skills - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Even though parts of it were super difficult, I felt pretty proud for giving my full effort.

Now I just have to wait anxiously to get my score back. I really hope I did well enough to get the English certification I need. Keeping my fingers crossed! If I didn't pass this time, I'll

just have to study even harder and try again next year. English is a challenging language but I'm determined to master it.

The Big English Test Adventure!

Hi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm a 5th grader at Sunshine Elementary School in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. I just had the craziest experience taking the Liaoning English League Proficiency Test and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

It all started a few months ago when my English teacher Ms. Wang told our class that we would be taking a really important English test called the Liaoning English League Proficiency Test. At first, I wasn't too worried because I love learning English. We've been studying it since 1st grade and I can already read, write, listen and speak pretty well. But then Ms. Wang explained that this test would cover everything we've learned over the past 5 years - reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, you name it! That's when I started to get a little nervous.

Ms. Wang had us do lots of practice tests to get ready. Some of the reading passages were really long and had tricky comprehension questions. The listening sections with the audio recordings were hard too because the speakers talked so fast! I struggled with the writing section where we had to write essays and stories in English using proper grammar and vocabulary. Even the speaking part was tough when we had to answer questions and describe pictures and situations. Phew, there was a lot to prepare for!

Finally, test day arrived on May 13th, 2023. I could hardly sleep the night before from excitement and nerves! When I got to school that morning, there were students from other schools

arriving too. We all had to register and get our test materials and seat assignments. The test was being held in the big auditorium at my school and there were tables set up everywhere. The first part was the listening test. We all had to put on headphones and listen carefully to recordings of conversations, stories, and information. Then we had to answer multiple choice questions about what we heard. Having to focus that hard for so long made my brain feel like a wet noodle! After we turned those in, it was time for the reading section. I've never read so many passages about different topics in one sitting before. My eyes were crossing by the end from reading so much!

We finally got a break for lunch. I was starving since I had woken up too nervous to eat much breakfast. I stuffed down my boxed lunch in about 5 minutes! After lunch was the writing part. We had to write a story based on some pictures and an outline we were given. Then there was an essay question about an important issue that we had to develop an argument for. I ran out of time at the end and my hand was cramping up from writing so much!

Just when I thought I couldn't take any more, it was time for the last part - the speaking test. One by one, we had to go to a room with a test grader and do all sorts of speaking tasks -

answering questions, describing pictures, roleplaying

conversations, and even giving a short speech. I was so tired by then that I could barely get the words out!

After what felt like an eternity, the test was finally over. I practically crawled out of the auditorium. My brain was mush and I never wanted to see another English test again as long as I lived! All the hard work and stress was worth it though when I found out a few weeks later that I had passed with a really high score. I even ranked in the top 10 for my grade level in Liaoning! Ms. Wang was so proud of me and I felt like I had

accomplished something huge. Getting through a huge test like that has made me feel a lot more confident about my English skills. It was definitely the most exhausting and challenging test I've ever taken, but also one of the biggest achievements I've had so far. I'm really glad I studied so hard and gave it my all because passing that test has opened up new possibilities for my future. Who knows, maybe I'll become an incredible English speaker and get to travel the world someday! But first, I could use a nice long vacation to recover from my Big English Test Adventure!

My Big English Test Adventure!

Wow, I'm so excited and a little bit nervous too! This year, I took the 2023 Liaoning English League Proficiency Test, which is a really important English exam for students like me. It was a big challenge, but also a fun adventure!

A few months ago, my English teacher told our class about this test. She said it's a way to check how good our English skills are in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to take it because it sounded really hard. But then my best friend said she was going to do it, so I decided to join her. We studied together after school, practicing all the different parts of the test.

The listening part was probably the trickiest for me. We had to listen to recordings of people talking in English and answer questions about what they said. Sometimes it was hard to understand their accents or if they spoke really fast. My teacher showed us some tips though, like listening for key words and trying to get the main idea even if we missed a few details. Reading wasn't too bad since I really like reading storybooks in English. There were different passages and we had to answer comprehension questions about them. Some were stories, some were informational texts about topics like animals or space. As

long as I read carefully and looked for clues in the passages, I could figure out the right answers.

Writing was fun because we got to write our own stories or passages! The hard part was making sure to use correct grammar, vocabulary, and organizing our ideas clearly. I really had to think about what I wanted to say and the best way to say it. My teacher always reminds us that writing is a process of planning, drafting, revising, and editing.

Finally, there was the speaking part where we had to answer questions, describe pictures, or have conversations with the examiners. Speaking English still makes me a little shy sometimes, but practicing with my friend helped a lot. The key was to relax, take my time, and say as much as I could in English.

On the day of the test, I was pretty nervous while waiting in line, but I kept reminding myself of all the practice we had done. When it was my turn, I just focused on each section one by one - listening carefully on those parts, reading closely, writing out my ideas clearly, and speaking slowly and loudly enough.

Afterwards, I felt both tired from concentrating so hard...but also really proud that I had given it my best effort! My parents were so happy with me just for being brave enough to take the challenge. While I'll have to wait a few weeks to get my score, I

I'm so grateful to my teacher for encouraging me, and to my friend for making it a team effort by studying together. No matter what the results are, taking the Liaoning English test was an amazing learning experience. English is a really fun language and I'm excited to keep building my skills. Who knows, maybe next year I'll take the test again and see how much better I can do! But for now, I'm just going to relax and celebrate my big English test adventure!

The Big Liaoning English Test Adventure!

Wow, this year I had the craziest experience ever! You'll never believe what happened. It all started when my teacher told our class that we would be taking the Liaoning English Alliance Degree English Test. At first, I wasn't sure what that even meant. A big English test? For a degree? I'm just a kid!

But Miss Zhang explained that this was a really important test to check our English skills. She said passing it would show we were super good at English and could basically get a fancy

degree! Of course, I got really nervous. Tests always make me a little jittery, especially big important ones like this.

Miss Zhang didn't need to worry though. I've been studying English since I was tiny. My parents always say English is the language of the future and I need to master it. So I know my English pretty well, if I do say so myself. I can watch movies and TV shows in English no problem. Anyway, Miss Zhang had us do lots of practice tests to get ready.

Finally, the big day arrived! I could hardly sleep the night before from excitement and anxiety. Would the test be hard? What if I failed? I tried not to think about it too much. The next morning, I put on my lucky cat shirt and had my mom make me a big breakfast to fill my brain with energy.

We all met at the school bright and early. There were kids there from all over Liaoning province! I saw some of my friends from other schools and cities. We were all buzzing with nerves. This was it - the big English test showdown!

The first part was listening. I'm actually pretty good at listening in English since I watch so much English TV. The passages played over the speakers and I had to answer comprehension questions. Not too bad so far!

Next up was reading. There were different passages to read through and questions to answer about them. Some were a little tricky, with difficult vocabulary words I didn't know. But I tried my best to use context clues to figure out the meanings.

After that was the writing section. We had to write an essay responding to a prompt. I got one asking me to describe my favorite book and why I liked it. Luckily, I had prepared by practicing lots of sample essays. I made sure to structure my essay properly with an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.

The last part was speaking. This made me the most nervous! We had to answer questions and describe pictures and situations out loud. I practiced so hard on my pronunciation and fluency. When it was my turn, I took a deep breath and tried to speak as clearly and smoothly as possible.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the test was over! I was absolutely exhausted. My brain felt like melted ice cream. All that reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English was grueling. I deserved a treat for getting through that mental marathon! A few weeks later, the results came in. I nervously opened up my score report and...I PASSED! I got a high enough score to earn the English degree certification. I was overjoyed! All that

hard work and stress had paid off. Mom and Dad were so proud of me. We all went out for my favorite dumplings to celebrate. Miss Zhang said my excellent score showed I had truly mastered English. With my language skills, I could have all kinds of opportunities in the future. Maybe I'll be an interpreter or English teacher someday. Who knows?

Although it was really difficult, I'm so glad I took the big Liaoning English test. It proved to myself that I could take on a huge challenge like that.
