摘要：A method and an apparatus for transmitting digital signals are disclosed. Theinput digital signal is converted into a plurality of blocks each having a finite time widthand an finite frequency width. Signal components of at least some of the blocks areprocessed in a non- linear fashion, and the resulting non-linearly processed signalcomponents are quantized. A recording medium on which encoded digital signals arerecorded is also disclosed.
