Study Plan

 My academic background

I was an elevator installation engineer in OTIS Elevator Company and I received my bachelor’s degree in XXXX University in July 2005. Four years study in electrical engineering and one year’s working experience in OTIS had helped me to develop strong interest in elevators and electrical technologies. However, from my work experience, I found that both engineering management and technology are very important for an engineer. The program that I pursue in XXX XXX University is Industrial Management and Technology. I can learn what I really need in that program. So I decided to study inXXXX University.

 Course schedule

I will go to study for a graduate degree on Industrial Management and Technology in America. I was accepted by Central Michigan University, and my parents are able to support my studying there. I will study there for 2 years. In the first year, I will concentrate on the learning of basic courses, such as algorithms, network basic, and operating system. From the second year, I will do some research work with the professors in Central Michigan University.

 My future plan

I want to be an elevator engineer in a large elevator company after I have

finished my Master study and come back from America, like OTIS Company. So I can use the skills that I learned to design and improve elevators, making them safer, more comfortable, and more convenient.

The field of elevator has a really bright future in China in the coming years. China is the biggest developing country, so there is a huge elevator market. Cities cannot develop without elevators. But the situation is different in the developed countries, like American, because they don’t need so much elevators any more.
