Describe an activity you enjoy doing in your school recently. Why do you enjoy it? Please include specific reasons and details to support your response.

Recently, I have participated in my school football team. I have achieved a lot from playing football. In the first place, it is a good opportunity for me to make more friends. I have met various people from different grades. We can share our interests and ideas with each other. In the second place, football is an excellent sport to improve my cooperative skills and teamwork spirit. During the playing process, we need to follow the strategy and cooperate with other players. Each team member should play a good role in his/her position. The final success depends on the unity of the whole team. Thus, I really enjoy playing football in my school.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A person needs talent to be an artist. Please use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Personally, I disagree with the statement that a person needs talent to be an artist. On top of the first, not everyone in the world has talent to be an artist. In contemporary society, many artists always work hard to make up for a lack of intelligence. Just as Tomas Edison’s saying, Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. This saying can fully address the importance of hard work. What’s more, talent will be wasted without hard work. If a gifted person abuses his/her

talent, he/she would not become an artist. Although talent is important for an artist to create wonderful works, persistent hard work is more vital to proceed the creation. Therefore, I firmly believe that gift is not a must to be an artist.

Describe your favorite studying place. Explain why you like to study in this place. Please include reasons and examples to support your response.

My favorite studying place is library. I have two reasons to illustrate my opinion. First of all, library is a quiet place to study. Students come to library to review textbooks, to do homework and to conduct research. Each one of us will focus our attention to the things we need to do. Quiet atmosphere will enable me to improve working efficiency. Besides, library is very convenient for me to find more useful studying materials. I can find various kinds of supplementary reading materials when I study in the library. It is really convenient and comfortable. Simply put, library is my favorite place to study in campus.

Some people prefer a job which deals with the same tasks every day. Others prefer a job which deals with many different tasks. Which do you prefer and why?

As for me, I prefer a job which deals with many different tasks every day. The first reason is that these kind of jobs can avoid tedious work. If I need to accomplish the same tasks every day, I would definitely feel boring. To make matters worse, it will make me lose the strength and inspiration to devote to my job. With different tasks, my working day will be filled with fresh ideas and things.

Secondly, a job with different tasks will offer me more challenges. Since a new task need different way to deal with, I will have more chances to improve my working skills to finish the task. So I will choose a job which deals with different tasks without hesitation.

If you are a volunteer in a hospital, what kind of work would you choose? 1. Take care of patient's family 2. Talk to patient 3. Read to patient. Please give specific reasons and details.

If I am a volunteer in a hospital, I will choose to talk more to the patient for the following reasons. Firstly, patient in the hospital sometimes will feel lonely since their family members don’t have enough time to accompany them. If I can talk to them more, I will give them encouragement and deliver more warmth and hope to them. What’s more, I can inform them of the latest news and interesting stories during the conversation with the patients. From that, they will always have the connection with the world. So I hope to be a volunteer in the hospital to talk to the patients.
