摘要：An apparatus and a method for simultaneously coating and measuring a partincluding a part support, a sprayer (120) a part measurer including a digital camera (250)and a display (130) device, all of which are positioned adjacent to the part support. Thesprayer applies a coating to a section of the part while the part measurer continuouslymeasures at least two dimensions of the section. The digital camera takes at least onepicture of the entire section of the part while the part is being coated and enables a userto accurately determine the cross section of the part to the optimum finished partconfiguration and size and also detect defects, blemishes or coating irregularities formedon the section. The apparatus and method of the present invention significantly reducesthe margin of error related to the application of coatings to parts, the number ofdefective parts and increases the overall efficiency.
