摘要：Polysulphide-containing olefin compositions, defined as being prepared byreaction of sulphur monochloride and/or dichloride with at least one monoolefin of 6 to12 carbon atoms to form an addition product (or adduct), and then by reaction of the saidadduct with an alkali metal or ammonium mercaptate or mercaptate-polysulphide, itselfobtained, for example, by reaction of a mercaptan with an alkali metal hydroxide oraqueous ammonia and then, if appropriate, with sulphur, preferably in an alcoholicmedium. These polysulphide-containing olefin compositions can be employed asextreme-pressure additives in gear oils or in oils intended for working metals.
