定义：一般过去式表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，常和表示过去的时间状语连用 注意 如：yesterday ,, last year , last +时间, ago , ust now（刚才） , in + 过去的年份。

一般过去时的构成：一般过去时由规则动词（-ed/-d）或不规则动词的过去时表示，除be外，其余动词没有人称和数的变化。

有规则的：（一）一般在动词原形后加-ed 如：look ________ play ________ Stay________ start __________ help________

(二) 以e 结尾的动词加-d 如： live________ hope_______.use_______ (三) 末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节词，先双写这个辅音字母，再加-ed 如：stop________ plan________

(四)以辅音字母加y结尾的动词先变“y”为 “i”,再加-ed 如：study_______ Carry_______ worry______

常有明确的时间状语，如yesterday，last night, some years ago，in10等，以及由

（2）表示过去的习惯性或经常发生的动作

注意：表示过去经常或反复发生的动作，还可用used to 或would加动词原形表示。如：She ____ _____ go for a walk after supper, but now she prefers to stay at home.她过去晚饭后总出去散步，但现在她却喜欢呆在家里。

（3）表示虚拟语气

这一用法只适用于某些特定的句型，表示现在或将来的非真实、主观意图或愿望。 如：If only I _______ (have) a better memory.要是我的记忆力好一点就好了。

一般过去式句型讲解

句型变化规律：（一）句中有be 动词的一般疑问句把be动词提前，如是第一人称的变成第

二人称，（be动词随着改变）。否定句直接在be 动词后加not (根据要求也可缩写)。 如：She was at home yesterday. (变成一般疑问句 ) _____ she at home ?
